"The Falcons of Jediane" kick off their AFCON qualification campaign with a valuable win over Ethiopia thanks to Mohamed Eissa's goal

Our national senior team inaugurated its journey in the qualifiers for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations with a valuable and well-deserved 1-0 victory over its Ethiopian counterpart in the match held this Friday at Juba National Stadium in the Republic of South Sudan, as part of the first round of Group F. The "Falcons of Jediane" waited until the decisive moments to find the Ethiopian net, when professional player Mohamed Eissa managed to secure the valuable winning goal via a penalty kick, which he successfully converted in the 86th minute, ending the opponent's defensive resilience and granting our team its first three points in the campaign opener. With this result, the national team tops Group F with 3 points, leading the rest of its rivals, while the Ethiopian team remains at the bottom of the table with no points.
