The Al-Amal Strategic Forum has commenced in Khartoum under the slogan 'Clear Vision, Unified Strategy, Disciplined Implementation.' The opening was attended by Attorney General Intisar Ahmed Abdul-Aal, various ministers, state governors, secretaries-general, undersecretaries, directors of institutions and bodies, representatives of the private sector, and a number of experts and specialists.
Lieutenant General Ahmed Saleh Abboud, Secretary-General of the Sovereignty Council, affirmed that this forum represents a genuine opportunity for Sudan to emerge stronger thanks to its sons—the scientists and specialists. He emphasized full readiness to provide all forms of support to ensure the success of the forum and the achievement of its intended goals.
He offered prayers for the souls of the martyrs of the armed forces and supporting forces, expressing his wishes for the swift recovery of the wounded and the safe return of the missing and captives.
For his part, the Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers, Mr. Ali Mohammed Ali, emphasized that strategic planning represents a systematic and continuous process for determining the future directions of states and institutions. This involves formulating short- and long-term goals based on clear vision and mission statements, accurate analysis of reality, and effective mechanisms for implementation, monitoring, and evaluation.
During his address at the opening of the forum, he pointed out that Sudan possesses potential, resources, natural and human wealth, and a distinguished geographical location that qualifies it to be among the prosperous nations at both regional and international levels.
He explained that the forum comes as a continuation of efforts to prepare the five-year plan project, leveraging the opinions and ideas of experts and specialists to fulfill the aspirations of the Sudanese people and meet their needs in light of the repercussions of the war imposed on the country. He noted that the plan represents one of the promises of the 'Hope Government' to the Sudanese people through a work program that defines priorities and supports the requirements for recovery, reconstruction, and the transition to the post-war phase.
The Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers stressed the necessity of building productive and fruitful partnerships with brotherly and friendly countries based on cooperation, investment, and mutual interests.
