His Excellency Prime Minister Professor Kamil Idris met today in Khartoum with the visiting delegation of Joint Arab Action organizations, led by the Director-General of the Arab Administrative Development Organization, Dr. Nasser Al-Hatlan. The meeting took place on the sidelines of their participation in the First Arab Forum for Strengthening Human Resources and Social Welfare Capabilities, which is being hosted in Khartoum these days. The meeting was attended by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Ambassador Mohiuddin Salem, the Minister of Human Resources and Social Welfare, Mr. Mutasim Ahmed Saleh, and the Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers, Ali Mohammed Ali. In a press statement, the Minister of Human Resources and Social Welfare explained that the meeting reviewed the progress of the First Arab Forum for Strengthening Human Resources and Social Welfare Capabilities. He noted that the forum has achieved many gains for the country, including the training of over five hundred human personnel and the holding of nine specialized workshops. Five of these workshops were for the ministries of Health, Infrastructure and Transport, Industry and Trade, Education and National Guidance, and Minerals and Petroleum, along with several other ministries involved in the training content of these workshops. The Minister stated that two workshops for the ministries of Agriculture and Irrigation and Animal and Fisheries Resources will commence within the next two days. He noted that all these workshops and events aim to upgrade human resources in the country so that they may, in turn, contribute to the implementation of the five-year strategic plan for 2027-2031. The Minister of Human Resources and Social Welfare expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Joint Arab Action organizations for visiting Sudan, considering this visit not only for human development but also as a gesture of solidarity with the Sudanese people and a sign of Sudan's return to its Arab and regional surroundings, as well as the return of Arab, African, and international conferences, workshops, and events to Khartoum.
