By Omer Al-Hiwaig: Yesterday, I came across this article I published on this site on November 14, 2022. I intentionally republished it now to warn certain journalists—the 'Balabsa'—against their attempts to interpret Al-Burhan's message to President Trump to suit their own balances. I tell them: it is neither this nor that, for he is a liar. Just wait for his second message to Trump, which might—or might not—be: to the last Janjaweed. Then from you... cheers and takbir, and on to the old article: It is the good fortune of our Sudanese people, in their experiences with military coups from the beginning on November 17, 1958, to the end on October 25, 2021, to have identified two traits in them. The first trait: their predictable strikes, their anticipated rages, and their actual 'darwah' (the final blow) are only directed at anyone who dares to challenge their weapon with a counter-weapon, or to put it clearly: their coup with a counter-coup. Their coup succeeds against democracies; we said, 'Fine, we entrust our affairs to God regarding our constantly lenient democratic president.' In my personal opinion, the most cowardly soldiers are the coup-plotters against democracies, because there is, at least, a guarantee of keeping heads on shoulders, thanks to mediations and the policies of 'let bygones be bygones.' As for the counter-coup, let us measure its results by quantity, not weight. Out of seventeen coups, three did not face the predictable strike or the anticipated rage, but the actual 'darwah.' A word to the wise is sufficient. All this roundabout way, which was not short, is to arrive at what I want to say, so as not to be unfair: Al-Burhan was a liar, a deceiver, a fabricator, and he did not follow the proverb: 'If you are a liar, be a good rememberer.' He was not that; what he said here, he denied there, and what he said there, he forgot here. He changed and substituted facts and testimonies as his confused memory wished in his two speeches at the Hattab military base (note: not the people's base), connecting his talk here by muddling the papers at the Al-Marakhayat military base of the Special Forces. First, he warned only the Islamists, then he muddled the matter by including the Communists and the Ba'athists in the second, and involving the Forces of Freedom and Change in his first government, then expelling them from his paradise in his second government, so that the meaning of the warning and the anesthesia in the first is lost, and his intent in the second is obscured. Is this not 'taqiyya' and the 'jurisprudence of necessity' itself? But why all this? We say it, and we do not want another 'darwah' for anyone, but we speak from the reality of the actions of the authoritarian military. We say it only because his rage was not anticipated, but merely theatrical!! And because his strike was not predictable, but merely theatrical!! And because it was not accompanied by any actual or practical 'darwah,' but is only a theatrical fuss!! His talk is an integral part of the early episodes of the series: 'I go to prison as a captive, and you go to the palace as president.' The series whose second part's episodes have begun; the first part was on June 30, 1989. As for the coup of April 11, 2019, it was directed by the Islamist Movement, with a collective starring role called the Security Committee, and its episodes continued until the episode of October 25, starring Al-Burhan and Hemedti, which was left open to the possibility of reaching the final episode by holding (rigged and corrupt) elections, with the promise to viewers that it would be an entertaining, recreational episode, with tragicomic scenarios. The wonder that failed them is that the memory storage of the Sudanese people has become, through its consciousness, capable of exposing these military-Islamist tricks one by one. No one believed him except those who have a certain personal or partisan interest in believing him, from the settlement-seekers, their writers, and their analysts, especially their strategists—the monopolizers and manipulators of their satellite channels—and those with good intentions whom they convinced that the revolution is satisfied with what it reaped and the sacrifices and blood of its youth it brought to the country and the people, and that settling for the temporary return as a reward is the way to save what remains for another time and another revolution. They did not show or enlighten their peoples that stopping revolutions halfway leads to more of their sons' and daughters' blood in the remaining half, if it lives and is found; in fact, its harvest will be nothing but genocides, then more mass genocides. As for the second trait: I will postpone talking about it until another time, so that its meaning, its mention, and even its explanation, remains in the poet's gut—if he is glorious, or if the settlement-seekers make its occurrence possible. That is for the day when Al-Burhan exchanges his khaki military suit for his civilian republican suit, to be the candidate of the Islamists, the remnants, the newly-introduced, and the opportunists, from every sect and color, and everyone who has no stake, even from the furthest ones, and everyone who is injured, fallen, or eaten by beasts, in the coming elections, after the muddling of the transitional settlement phase, the burying of the revolution and its martyrs, and the abortion of its radical changes. In conclusion, I warn you, and warn you again, against announcing a government, whatever its name, endeavor, or destination, far from the leadership of the Resistance Committees, their coordination bodies, and their living revolutionary forces, guided by their charter, and signing with them their declared document titled: 'The Revolutionary Charter for Establishing People's Power.' The revolution continues, regression is impossible, and victory is coming, coming, even if the journey, the path, and the destiny are long. *** [No to war..
