When the Compass Staggers Between London Pavements and Abu Dhabi Palaces

A scene in a British court exposes the falsity of a glittering facade: how billions are spent engineering the crises of nations while palaces fail to protect their own children, and internal fragility turns into devastation spreading across the body of the nation.

When the Compass Staggers Between London Pavements and Abu Dhabi Palaces

✍️ Written by/ Hassan Al-Baseer

▪️ The tale of "manufactured greatness" was summarized in a scene that no eye could miss: a Sheikha from the ruling family, lost in a cocaine-induced stupor, leaning against an iron fence, while her three-year-old child wandered barefoot toward a road swallowed by traffic, only to be saved by a humanitarian coincidence at the final moment.

This is not a scene from a movie, but the incident witnessed at the Southwark Crown Court in Britain, where Sheikha Mahra Al Nahyan was convicted of child neglect and sentenced after shouting at the police with phrases devoid of logic: "Why do you care so much?" In reality, the true question is not why the world cares, but: how are billions spent on external image-polishing campaigns and destabilizing peoples and nations, while these palaces fail to provide a moral safety net or psychological support for their own members within closed doors?

▪️ The comparison has become stark and provocative; while vast sums of money are spent on cross-border conflicts and influence projects, the internal pillars are being revealed as a series of crises documented by British courts and leaked recordings of women trying to escape gilded prisons. Officials raise slogans of "progress and prosperity," but the daily details that surface in Western capitals reveal a massive gap between the embellished facade and the deteriorating human and moral reality.

Would it not be more appropriate for decision-makers and billionaires to first turn their attention to repairing their own houses, attending to their people's issues, and protecting their families from loss and dissolution, rather than draining resources to engineer the crises of other nations?

▪️ The London pavement incident is not merely a legal file closed with a fine, but a mirror that exposed the falsity of the glittering image; for those who cannot protect a barefoot child on the roadside, all the millions in the world will not suffice to convince public opinion of the luster of their borrowed facade.

▪️ This internal moral erosion and structural fragility suffered by the small state of the UAE has not remained confined behind the walls of its palaces; rather, it has been reflected as destruction and ruin upon the body of the entire Arab nation. This regime has chosen to throw itself into the arms of the Zionist-American project, transforming into a malignant cancer that toys with the stability of nations, fuels divisions, and sows discord within the joints of Arab societies and politics to implement agendas of hegemony and normalization.

▪️ The looted wealth employed in sabotaging homelands, funding militias, and igniting internal strife will not succeed in covering the nakedness of this regime or hiding its chronic fragility; for those who spread corruption in the security of the region and the peace of its peoples are destined for the dustbin of history.
