His Excellency the Prime Minister, Professor Kamil Idris, met today in Khartoum with the Head of the Women and Child Advisory Office, Ms. Salima Ishaq, who stated in a press release that the meeting discussed the priorities of the general plan and future arrangements for the Women and Child Advisory Office. Ms. Salima Ishaq indicated that her meeting with the Prime Minister is considered the first since the establishment of the Women and Child Advisory Office and her appointment by him to the position of Head of the Office. She pointed out that the Women and Child Advisory Office aims to elevate the approach to dealing with women's and children's issues under an independent umbrella to address their concerns, especially since women and children are among the groups that have paid the highest price in the war.
