The Special Representative of the Prime Minister affirms the strength of Sudanese-Saudi relations and praises the Kingdom's continuous support for Sudan during a meeting with the Saudi Ambassador in Khartoum.

Mr. Special Representative of the Prime Minister, Dr. Al-Hussein Al-Khalifa Al-Siddiq Al-Hafian, affirmed the strength of Sudanese-Saudi relations, praising the significant role and support that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has continued to provide to Sudan, especially during these exceptional circumstances that the country is going through, adding that ”the relations between the two countries are witnessing continuous development.” This came during his meeting today in Khartoum with the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Sudan, Mr. Zaid bin Mukhled Al-Harbi. The Special Representative of the Prime Minister praised the Saudi positions supporting and standing by Sudan in various circumstances, expressing his thanks and appreciation to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, its leadership, government, and people. For his part, the Saudi Ambassador affirmed the depth of the deep-rooted historical and brotherly relations between the two countries and the keenness of the Saudi leadership to enhance them and elevate them to broader horizons that achieve the common interests of the two countries and the two brotherly peoples. Ambassador Zaid bin Mukhled reiterated the firm position of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia supporting the security, stability, sovereignty, and territorial integrity of Sudan, and its keenness to preserve the Sudanese state and its national institutions. The Saudi Ambassador announced a grant provided by the Saudi Fund for Development amounting to (20) million dollars for the Ministries of Finance, Agriculture, Education and National Instruction, Higher Education, Health, and Culture and Information. The meeting discussed enhancing cooperation between the two countries in various fields to serve the interests of both countries and the two brotherly peoples, and affirmed the activation of the Saudi-Sudanese Joint Coordination Council chaired by the foreign ministers of the two countries. *Council of Ministers Media* *September 15, 2026*
