To His Excellency General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, President of the Sovereignty Council of Sudan, This message comes to you not as a political statement, but as a voice from the heart of the Sudanese people — from every displaced family, every mother who has lost a child, every student whose school was destroyed, and every citizen who still believes in the promise of a free and peaceful Sudan. For more than two years, Sudan has been engulfed in a war that has torn apart the fabric of our nation. Over 14 million of our brothers and sisters have been displaced from their homes. Famine has spread across our land. Our hospitals lie in ruins, and our children grow up knowing nothing but the sound of gunfire. We write to you today with a single, urgent appeal: let the suffering of the Sudanese people be the compass that guides every decision. The people of Sudan are not statistics — they are fathers and mothers, students and farmers, children and elders, each carrying dreams that this war has interrupted but not destroyed. We ask you, as the leader entrusted with the sovereignty of this nation, to: 1. Prioritize civilian protection above all else. The people of Sudan are not collateral in any political or military calculation. Every life lost is a loss to the nation itself. 2. Open humanitarian corridors without condition. Food, medicine, and aid must reach every corner of Sudan — from Khartoum to Darfur, from Kordofan to the Red Sea coast. No Sudanese should go hungry while food sits undelivered. 3. Commit to a genuine, inclusive political process. The future of Sudan cannot be decided by weapons alone. The voices of civilians, women, youth, and displaced communities must be at the table — not as observers, but as architects of the nation's path forward. 4. Unite the Sudanese people, not divide them. Sudan's strength has always been in its diversity — its tribes, cultures, and regions. This war must not become a war of Sudanese against Sudanese. The enemy is hunger, disease, and despair — not one another. 5. Build a future worthy of the sacrifices made. The youth of Sudan have given their lives, their education, and their dreams to this moment. Honor them by building a Sudan that is democratic, just, and at peace with itself and its neighbors. Your Excellency, history will judge this moment not by the battles fought, but by the peace achieved. The Sudanese people have endured too much to accept anything less than a future of dignity, freedom, and unity. We do not write from a place of politics, but from a place of love for Sudan. We believe in the resilience of our people and in the possibility of a Sudan that rises from this war stronger, more united, and more just. The message is simple: the people of Sudan are watching, hoping, and waiting. Do not let them down. With respect and hope for Sudan, The People of Sudan
