Prime Minister meets with Revolutionary Awakening Council delegation led by Sheikh Musa Hilal

The Prime Minister, Professor Kamil Idris, met today in Khartoum with a delegation from the Revolutionary Awakening Council led by Sheikh Musa Hilal. In a press statement, Sheikh Hilal explained that the meeting addressed general national issues of political and security significance. He affirmed the importance of national unity, preserving the nation’s resources, and emerging victorious from this crisis, especially as the signs of victory have begun to appear on the horizon. The head of the Revolutionary Awakening Council stated that the U.S. administration's bargaining—offering to grant the Chairman of the Sovereignty Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, a visa to participate in the UN General Assembly meetings in exchange for accepting a truce—is a naive and cheap ploy. He noted that the global assessment of this bargaining will favor Sudan, the Sudanese people, and the Chairman of the Sovereignty Council. He pointed out that this move will cause the Sudanese people and all those who support the nation's causes, both regionally and globally, to stand with Sudan. He added, "This bargaining has only strengthened the Sudanese people's rally behind the Chairman of the Sovereignty Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces."
