Prime Minister Directs Payment of Teachers' Arrears in All States

His Excellency Prime Minister Professor Kamil Idris has directed the payment of teachers' arrears in all states of Sudan. This came during his meeting today with the Minister of General Education and National Instruction, Dr. Al-Tohami Al-Zain Hajar, in the presence of the Minister of Finance and Economic Planning, Dr. Gibril Ibrahim, the head of the General Union of Public Education Workers, Mr. Abbas Habiballah, and the head of the Sudanese Teachers' Professional Union, Mr. Nizar Sheikh Idris. In a press statement, the Minister of General Education and National Instruction explained that the meeting discussed the issue of teachers' salaries and their centralization, noting that teachers' arrears in all states of the country will be paid in the coming days. For his part, the head of the General Union of Education Workers expressed his thanks and appreciation for the Prime Minister's interest in educational issues and improving the conditions of teachers, affirming his commitment to exerting further efforts to contribute to the stability of education in the country.
