Armed Forces Announce Repulsion of Attack on Sali in Eastern Blue Nile

Blue Nile – October 20, 2026 - Radio Dabanga: The Fourth Infantry Division of the Armed Forces stated that it repelled an attack launched by the Rapid Support Forces and the SPLM-N (al-Hilu faction) on the 'Sali' area in the eastern sector of the Blue Nile region on Monday morning. In a statement, the division's media office explained that its forces seized 15 combat vehicles and destroyed 5 others. The division had announced yesterday, Monday, that it repelled an attack on the Al-Baraka area in the southern Blue Nile. The region has been witnessing continuous battles for months, with both sides exchanging control over a number of areas and towns.
