In a statement, the forces—comprising the Rapid Support Forces and the Sudan People's Liberation Movement-North (SPLM-N) led by Abdelaziz Al-Hilu—stated that the control of the Al-Baraka area is an important step within their military expansion and securing of front lines. They considered the operation a significant victory by liberating one of the largest military bases from the grip of the Sudanese Armed Forces. The 'Founding Alliance' confirmed that taking control of the area and the 'Al-Baraka' camp represents a fundamental step toward achieving strategic goals in the Blue Nile region (New Fung), noting the seizure of a number of military vehicles, weapons, and ammunition, as well as the killing of a large number of personnel. The Sudanese Armed Forces had announced on Monday and Tuesday that they repelled attacks on Al-Baraka in the southern axis of the Blue Nile and Sali in the eastern axis.
