Chaired by His Excellency the Prime Minister.. An Expanded Meeting Discusses a Package of Solutions to Ease the Cost of Living for Citizens

His Excellency Prime Minister Professor Kamil Idris chaired an expanded meeting today in Khartoum, which included the Ministers of Federal Governance and Rural Development, Finance, Industry and Trade, Digital Transformation and Telecommunications, and the Governor of Khartoum State. The meeting discussed a package of urgent practical solutions and measures to alleviate the living burdens on citizens and reviewed the progress of implementing procedures related to exempting the residential sector from water fees until the end of the current year. The meeting directed the acceleration of activating discounted retail centers in the capital and the states to meet the citizens' needs for consumer goods at reduced prices. The meeting also affirmed the commitment to move forward in enhancing local wheat production and localizing the gum arabic industry, as they are considered important strategic commodities.
