His Excellency the Prime Minister, Professor Kamil Idris, was briefed on the overall situation and developments in the industrial and commercial sectors, especially regarding the integration of factories into the production cycle and the localization of industries. This came during his meeting today in Khartoum with the Minister of Industry and Trade, Ms. Mahasin Ali Yaqoub; the Minister of Digital Transformation and Communications, Engineer Ahmed Dardiri Ghandour; the Minister of State for Finance, Counselor Mohamed Nour; and the Governor of Khartoum State, Mr. Ahmed Osman Hamza, in the presence of the Prime Minister's Special Representative, Dr. Al-Hussein Al-Khalifa Al-Siddiq Al-Hafian. Ms. Mahasin Ali Yaqoub stated in a press release that the meeting addressed the immediate and future plan of the Ministry of Industry and Trade regarding the localization of Sudanese industries and the development of exports. The Minister of Industry and Trade added that the meeting touched upon the operation of discount sales centers in the near future, noting that an agreement had been reached with all relevant authorities to supply these centers with all required products to meet citizens' needs for consumer goods at reduced prices, and that all existing factories are prepared to ensure that goods reach consumers at discounted prices. Ms. Mahasin Ali Yaqoub clarified that there will be follow-up and supervision by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Khartoum State, and the Employers' Federation to ensure the success of the discount sales centers in a way that positively reflects on the citizen.
