War Media: The Terminology of the Al-Burhan Academy..!

The distinguished educator and sober mentor, Hamad al-Nil Fadl al-Mawla, has called upon officials, journalists, and media figures in particular to 'regulate their terminology and expressions.' He warns against the 'hollow words' uttered with 'frivolity and stupidity' by supporters of Al-Burhan and some pro-war writers and journalists. They mistake this for 'cleverness,' while it is in fact ignorance, deception, and 'street-talk' unsuitable for a time and climate that cannot tolerate such folly and recklessness.

They mistake this for 'cleverness,' while it is in fact ignorance, deception, and 'street-talk' unsuitable for a time and climate that cannot tolerate such folly, recklessness, and indignity. This is the trivialization of language and the corruption of characterization, leading to a distortion of meanings and structures that leaves behind nothing but ignorance and deception. An honest journalist does not deceive their people. Furthermore, an official placed by 'black luck' in charge of human lives and the destiny of a nation, like 'Kamel Idris,' cannot simply 'funaqil' (babble) words as he pleases; every word is held against him and he shall be held accountable for it. 'Funaqala' is a dialectical educational method used by scholars of interpretation to highlight meaning, present evidence, and clarify ambiguities through question and answer; a term coined from the phrase 'if they say... we say' (fa-in qalu... qulna). However, 'Kamel Idris’s Funaqala' is a product of Sudanese slang, meaning to lie flat on one's back. We shall explain why. As Hamad al-Nil recounted, Kamel Idris stated before a gathering that Al-Burhan’s army is 'the strongest army in the world.' We ask the head of the coup government, the intellectual property expert (the 'learned' one): On what basis did you rely for this statement? Did you make a comparison between the Sudanese army and, for instance, the American, Russian, Ukrainian, Iranian, or German armies? How did you calculate the strength of armies to use such a superlative? Did you calculate the number of warplanes, tanks, frigates, aircraft carriers, torpedoes, the number of soldiers, firepower, ballistic missiles, 'winged cruise missiles,' armor, brigades, divisions, artillery range, nuclear, chemical, and biological weapons, and intelligence units? If the army of Al-Burhan and Yasser al-Atta is the strongest in the world, how—as the professor said—has it been unable over four years to defeat a militia it created itself, one that split from its own womb? This Kamel Idris does what no 'idiot' would do: he carried a pipe, inserted it into the opening of a fuel tank, and began to 'extract' to prove there was some gasoline at the bottom of the well, then shouted in hysteria: 'God is Great... the traitors said we have a fuel crisis!' while the Minister of Energy stood behind him, raising his index finger in the manner of the Islamists, with lines of cars stretching for kilometers behind them. Then we come to the story of the 'prominent journalist' who claimed that the USA granted a visa to the Iranian president but denied it to Al-Burhan because America fears Al-Burhan as he is one of the 'strong presidents.' Could this 'pseudo-journalist' not find a better argument to justify his praise of Al-Burhan—one that doesn't put him in the position of a drum being struck, as our great poet Muhammad al-Mahdi al-Majthoub said? There is a vast difference between 'Sufi attraction' and 'envelope attraction,' referring to the envelopes of bribes that have become a well-trodden path in the stock market of war propaganda. There is another example—the worst and most misguided—of using failed expressions and corrupt proverbs out of place. This is the egregious example that appeared in a statement unbecoming of the person who issued it: the Sudanese ambassador to the United Nations, Al-Harith Idris. He invoked from the entirety of Arab and human heritage, in a 'trivial analogy,' a saying that equates a human being—whom God has honored and carried on land and sea—with a shoelace (or the strap of a sandal). This man thinks he is being clever by invoking the Basus War, while the disgusting analogy he provided embodies a tendency to cheapen human blood, incite revenge, despise reconciliation, reject peace, and fuel the fire of war. May God curse the face of diplomacy if these are its appeals, and if it cites sayings that debase human beings to the level of shoelaces. Is this the sum of what you have learned of the arts of speech, clever insinuation, eloquent citation, prudent gesturing, and sober expression that are weighed by gold standards by people of sound mind? Are you in a position to lecture others on the necessity of choosing rulers who represent the people when you are one of the 'job-scavengers' of a corrupt coup regime that ignited a wicked war, displaced millions of our fellow countrymen, and pushed them into the harshness of displacement and the humiliation of seeking refuge? Who chose Al-Burhan, who in turn chose you for this position? Did the people choose him, or did he stage a coup against the civil government the people had chosen? Do not talk about 'choice'; just remain in these shackles that the coup has placed upon you and do not act 'clever' with God’s creation. You are a prisoner of this dark era in our country’s history; the era of evil, oppression, corruption, and ruin.
