Recognizing the great national and humanitarian role that Sudanese doctors have consistently played—a role witnessed by history since the dawn of independence—I address this appeal to all Sudanese medical unions and associations around the world. Our beloved nation is passing through one of the harshest ordeals in its history. The ongoing war has left millions affected and displaced, and has deprived vast numbers of children of education and healthcare, and has brought humanitarian aid for millions in dire need to a dead end or severe difficulty. At this critical moment, a national and humanitarian responsibility rests upon our shoulders. Therefore, I call upon all Sudanese doctors in the diaspora to unite their voices in demanding an immediate end to the war, opening routes for humanitarian aid, protecting civilians, and providing the Sudanese people with the opportunity to achieve peace. If we do not play our role now, while our nation is in desperate need of our voices, history may one day ask us: What did you do when Sudan was bleeding? Millions of children who have been displaced, lost their schools, and were deprived of healthcare may ask us about our stance when they needed our voices most. Doctors of Sudan, unite. The cause that brings us together is one, and the goal is one: End the war. Protect human life. Deliver humanitarian aid. And open the way for peace. From here, I especially hope that the Sudanese Doctors Union in the UK, due to its presence and leading role, will adopt the leadership of this appeal, and work to communicate with Sudanese medical unions and associations in various diaspora countries in order to issue a unified appeal in the name of Sudanese doctors abroad. Let the voice of Sudanese doctors, wherever they are, be one voice for the sake of saving the Sudanese people and ending this tragedy. Doctors of the nation, unite. Sudan needs your voice now.
