Learn about some of Egypt's massacres in Sudan and against the people of Sudan?
Abdallah Yousif Hamadalnil Abdallhmad1951@gmail.com The Jebel al-Aqailat mines massacre? On Saturday, October 10, 2026, in the Northern State, more than 20 kilometers south of the Sudanese-Egyptian border, three Egyptian Antonov fighter jets carried out seven consecutive airstrikes, dropping nine bombs on the Jebel al-Aqailat mines, which include the Jabal al-Ahmar mine and the company mine. At these mines, there were more than 12,000 Sudanese gold prospectors. Following this aerial bombardment, and according to videos posted online, an Egyptian military battalion, whose members were wearing Egyptian military uniforms, arrived in more than 20 four-wheel-drive military vehicles and launched a heavy attack on the Jabal al-Ahmar and company mines, firing indiscriminately at the remaining gold prospectors who had miraculously survived the random aerial bombardment. Afterwards, according to the video posted online, the Egyptian soldiers disembarked from their vehicles and began looting and stealing the gold that the prospectors had collected, and cold-bloodedly killing those who survived the aerial bombardment and the ground attack. According to the circulating video, the victims of these aerial and ground attacks were approximately 250 Sudanese dead and about 150 Sudanese wounded, with serious injuries and bloody burns. The massacre of Saturday, October 10, 2026, is not the first massacre committed by the Egyptian army against Sudanese gold prospectors in the Northern State. The Egyptian army has previously carried out several similar aerial and ground attacks in the same area of the Jabal al-Ahmar and company mines. The Egyptian Armed Forces admitted, in a statement published on their websites, that they were responsible for the massacre on Saturday, October 10, 2026, as well as two other massacres in the past at the same site in the Jebel al-Aqailat area against Sudanese prospectors. The Egyptian Armed Forces claimed, falsely, unjustly, and slanderously, that the prospectors had crossed the border and entered Egypt, thereby becoming legal prey for the Egyptian Armed Forces. The Sudanese state did not comment on this false statement. Then... what was the reaction of the (Dignity?) government in Port Sudan-Khartoum to the massacre of Saturday, October 10, 2026? Dr. Kamal Idris, the chief executive officer and head of the squandered dignity government, did not even say a word... absolute silence... as if a flock of birds had descended upon his head. In previous instances, President Burhan blamed the Sudanese prospector victims, and claimed, falsely and unjustly, that these victims had crossed the border and entered Egyptian territory by force and stealth. This blatant lie was exposed by the videos circulating at the time regarding the Egyptian massacres on Sudanese soil in the Northern State. This time, President Burhan formed a committee to investigate the massacre of Saturday, October 10, 2026. Let us not get ahead of ourselves and wait for what this Burhanist committee says. A wild goose chase? We testify that these repeated massacres against Sudanese prospectors in the Jebel al-Aqailat mines were not the first, as several massacres had preceded them in the past against the state of Sudan, against the people of Sudan, and inside Sudan. We summarize below, by way of example and evidence, but not exclusively, two of these massacres, as signs for a people who reflect. One: The Aba Island massacre? In March 1970, the Egyptian Air Force, led by Egyptian pilot Hosni Mubarak, carried out an airstrike against the Ansar followers of Imam Al-Hadi Al-Mahdi on Aba Island, in the White Nile State. The number of deaths as a result of this Egyptian raid was more than 12,000 martyrs, and more than 30,000 wounded... in less than 3 hours of Egyptian aerial bombardment. This Egyptian airstrike came within the framework of military, political, and security cooperation between the Egyptian President at the time, Gamal Abdel Nasser, and the dictator Nimeiry. At the time, the Ansar followers of Imam Al-Hadi Al-Mahdi on Aba Island were calling for a complete democratic transition, a matter rejected by President Abdel Nasser, so that his subjects (we do not call them his citizens) would not say to him... make for us a democratic god just as they have democratic gods? Hence the Egyptian airstrike and the 12,000 Sudanese martyrs on Aba Island. Reflect on this. Two: In 1822, after the killing of Ismail, son of the ruler of Egypt Muhammad Ali Pasha, at the hands of Mek Nimr, leader of the Ja'aliyyin, the Defterdar, son-in-law of the ruler of Egypt, led a brutal retaliatory campaign against the Ja'aliyyin in Shendi and Metemma. The Bashi-bazouks, the Defterdar's soldiers, burned villages and cities and killed citizens indiscriminately. The number of martyrs reached more than one hundred thousand in Shendi alone, and more than 200,000 wounded. An example of the brutality of the Bashi-bazouks, the Defterdar's soldiers: The Bashi-bazouks lead a group of female captives. A child carried by his mother cries for some reason. A Bashi-bazouk snatches the child from his mother's arms and throws him into the air. The child falls onto the Bashi-bazouk's bayonet, which catches him and enters his entrails, so he stops the crying that was annoying the Bashi-bazouk. We continue...
